A local record of the departure of the last goods train from Sheringham in December 1964, following the withdrawal of the service in the wake of the Beeching Report.
A goods train arrives at Sheringham Station hauled by a diesel-electric locomotive. Wagons are shunted into sidings. The locomotive manoeuvres trucks and waits for a DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) to leave the station before setting off in the direction of Cromer.
